Once, the lake side of Lake Front Drive was lined with beautiful homes like this one. This house, a neighbor told us, is scheduled for demolition this year.  The lady who owned it occupied through a lease-back, but she died and the National Park Service has taken it over.  Once it is gone, the only house that will  remain standing on the lake side of Lake Front Drive will be the Century of Progress FLORIDA TROPICAL HOUSE.  Fortunately, that house will be restored.
