The dilapidated
interior of house 67-115. The brick foyer floor, oak living room floor,
stone fireplace with custom doors, wallpaper and exposed wood beams of clear
lumber tell a story of house built with little regard for economy and deep
regard for design and quality. I imagine the original owner assumed this
house would last for many generations. It's a shame that the government
did not restore this house as an example of the type of homes that once
populated Lake Front Drive. Ironically, the houses on the opposite side of
the street; the ones that at one time could not afford it, are now considered as
lakefront properties.
